Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

I, have been unable,to shoot, this rare rifle , from my collection. The big problem here is, the
rifles caliber, 7.62 naboj. would military ammo ,hand loading or a re chamber job be the answer?
Rifle model is Vz/52-57. I, would like to share, what info I, have, on this rifle. It is a G.I bring
back from the Grenada invasion. It has a folding bayonet and attachment clips at rear sight
and barrel top, for a bipod. Caliber 7.62X45mm. not to be confused with Russian AK 47 7.62
short round. Mag holds 30 rounds. Markings on rifle she 007x56 serial # 66614. This is a heavy
rifle weight 6 pounds plus.

Your rifle is a VZ52,not a VZ52/57. the '57 is in 7.62x39 and has a slanted magazine.
The rifle in the original caliber you can do several things:
Brass can be made from 6.5 Carcano brass. It is easy to do. LEE sells dies for your caliber.
A chamber adapter can be made to allow '39 ammo to be shot.
A new barrel can be bought or made in '39 caliber.
10 round magazine, not 30 is attached to your rifle.
There is little info on these rifle and a lot of internet BS. The round is not like the '39 at all. It is more powerful and fires a heavier bullet. The round is closer to the old .300 Savage than the Russian '39 round.
I don't know if the surplus steel cased ammo is for sale in your country. If it is pull a bullet,it looks nothing like a '39 projectile,is heavier and more like a M-80 Ball projectile for the USA's 7.62x51 NATO.
I make my own brass and it works just fine. I shoot the little rifle at long range and it does well. The ejection to the left is a plus for me since I'm a left hand shooter.
The action is well designed by Walther and has many pluses.
Original ammo is VERY corrosive and the rifle must be disassembled and the outside of the barrel scrubbed at the gas ring well to prevent pitting of steel and operating parts.

"Attachment clips for a bipod"? I don't think there is a bipod or clips to attach same for this rifle.

Look for an importers stamp on the receiver or barrel of the rifle. While a lot of these rifles have the "Bringback" story...those same rifles often have the importer stamp and are not Bringback war trophies.

You can also make brass from .220 Swift.
The steel cases can be reloaded if you can find the proper Berdan primer. I was able to get two reloads from the steel cases. You need to drop them in soapy water asap after firing to prevent rusting of the inside of the case from the corrosive primers.

Thanks everyone!! As I, as i said, this is a rare rifle, with an odd caliber.
With it a lot of weird stories, that follow it.Hand loading will be a challenge.
Thanks again
