Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Hi from a globe-trotter

#1 Post by Mustang_51D » Thu Jan 24, 2019 10:15 am

Hello everyone!

I'm Olivier, from Belgium, although I'm writing from Russia right now! I've joined this forum as a huge military history enthusiast. I collect mostly WW2 Soviet and Cold War East Bloc militaria, and shoot as a sport. My weapon collection includes a 1934 hex receiver Tula Mosin Nagant, a Yugo M48 Mauser, and a French Lebel 1886. I hope to see it grow in the future!
Apart from collecting and shooting historical weapons, I play tabletop wargames, airsoft and draw. Oh, and I'm married and work in insurance!
I hope I'll be able to contribute to this forum in a constructive way!

Welcome to SRF. It would be great if you could do a Mosin Nagant rifle test in the real cold of Russia.

Thanks! Sadly I'm not a citizen there and am thus not allowed to own firearms on the Russian territory. So far, I did shoot a little, but only on indoor ranges... I'll try and see if I can find an outdoors range with rental Mosins (or rental anything Russian, that is). Plus, Russia's had above average snowfall this year, so it would create great conditions for a winter torture test!

Special Belge, Antwerp! If you've not been, please do try it! I had a great time in your country.
