I''ve only been working on this collection since I got my first G 43 in about 1957.
I had bought a byf 44 K98k from an uncle who brought it back and was using it for a deer rifle. However I have a thing for self loaders and so I grabbed the first G 43 I came across and then began using it for my deer rifle (still have the byf 44 98k).
My current hunting rifle is a mismatch. I learned long ago Not to use a matching rifle for a shooter.
