The 98/29 is arguably one of the best and nicest large ring matures made. I love mine, pristine condition and long sight radius offers great accuracy. Id hold on to her, these are pretty collectible not to mention interesting

How much did you pick it up for? I got mine for just under 500 about four years ago

Wait until you shoot it. I can hit smaller gongs offhand with my Persian and 50s Yugo than I can with my match prepped Garands and handloads. Lovely rifle!!

I bought one a few years back. I can't remember if I ever shot it.

Looks like the 500-600 dollar mark is the going rate. Saw a few on gunbroker for sale. The rifle is in very good+ to excellent shape. Just wish a sling and bayonet was in the deal.

Never ceases to amaze me that guns I bought less then 8 yrs ago have increased in their worth. Some of them have tripled and even quadrupled in value. Wish my savings would have done the same. Besides no way can you have as much fun with stacks of paper bills as you can with a mauser, enfield or garand.

My Milsurp buying has come to a halt due to another project this past half a year. But I don't think I would have been able to walk away from that one. Great looking rifle. As for the current prices,I did not get in the game till late, but was glad to be able to pick up some of my stuff when the prices were Fairly low. I picked up a few gems (and a lot of learning)right here on the forum....Larry

I could sell part of my collection and make a chunk of change. Though the capital gains tax would rape me come April. Best keep what I have.
