Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Vintage Military Semi Auto Rifle Silhoueete Match

#1 Post by Calfed » Sat Sep 07, 2019 4:46 pm

My youngest son and I shot the match with our Ljungmans. As usual, he kicked my *****.

Match is 40 rounds, 10 rounds each at chickens (220 yards), pigs (330 yards), turkeys (420 yards), and rams (550 yards), shot with military semi auto rifles. Match winner come from the "as issued" vintage class.

Here's a pic of the range...

As you can see from the results sheet, there ain't much "vintage" left in the "vintage" match.

Where in CA is this? We are fortunate to have at least a couple dozen regulars (plus stragglers) that support vintage-ONLY matches in Southern NV. We have two every month (one for bolt, one for semi-) that are 150-400 yards, and one every month (except summer) that is 200 - 900 meters. The shorter range semi-auto match allows the M14 design and contemporaries, but they must be as-issued, no "match" rifles allowed, regardless of age.

Grate shooting. Got to love the Jlungman.
We have a 300 meter silhouette match this Saturday. There will be no AR15's or 10's. Only old rifles.
