Since my eyesight isn't what it used to be, I've decided to make some (non-permanent) changes to my Long Branch
While not standard issue, the scope I've used (a Weaver K3) is similar in appearance to the Lyman Alaskan which was actually adopted by the Canadian Army during WWII, though in smaller numbers than the no. 32 telescopic sight.
The cordura and foam cheekrest will do until I get my hands on another buttstock and a wood cheekpiece.
Handloads gave me good results in this rifle while using the aperture sights, so I can't wait to try this new set-up.
