New member in DFW (Arlington ). New to surplus rifles, but have managed to pick up an SKS and M95 in the last couple months.

Welcome to the forum from a Texas member. What kind of SKS did you get (I really like SKS's)? How do like the shoulder thumper (M95)?

Welcome from another Texan. See if you can find some of the 1930s surplus ammo for that M95. That stuff will push your shoulder back. :D

It's a /26\ Norinco. A "missing link" 1970 rifle. The guy I bought it from got it from a friend's father. It was still in cosmo when he got it about 2 years ago. He de-greased it and put about 50 rounds through it then it sat until I bought it. It came with an unserialed Norinco stamped peep-through style scope mount on the bolt cover.

Haven't had a chance to shoot either one yet. I just redid the buggered up crown on the M95, and Kivaari currently has my trigger group for the SKS.
