Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Had to replace a Krag rear sight

I could not find a rear sight for this rifle at a reasonable price so I took a spare 1903 rear sight leaf and modified it works pretty good nice sight picture. I was not going to pay 150 for a rear sight I only paid $250 for the whole rifle.

Great work-around! Was it a PITA to mod the 1903 leaf?? Thank u for sharing this with us---I enjoy modded milsurps/beaters that retain their military flair. Plus, a new idea if/when I acquire another Krag in need of a sight--

To make it tighten up I had to grind around 1\8 of an inch off the 1903 Springfield sight then put the screw back in.
