I went back to the LGS and counter-offered and it was excepted so it followed me home.

Great looking Krag! If it's a 6.5 and you want to shoot it, 6.5 Swedish Mauser ammo will fit but the pressure is too high. You can buy 6.5 brass and handload it, but I don't have any loads to suggest. My two Krags are US model 1898s.

YES, you CAN shoot factory 6.5 Swede in your Krag if it is indeed chambered in the 6.5x55...............
