Yugoslav rifles technical manual M48, M24/24 and M98/48

Post by M67 »

This is a very rare Technical manual (not Field manual) for the Rifles M48, M24/24 and M98/48 from Yugoslav Armed Forces dated 1962. Interesting, there is no description for the M98 (long rifle) and for the M24/52. Maybe there were no longer in regular army. There is red Field Manual for the M48 beside. You hava descriptions and differencies between these rifles. I have lots of red Manuals for the M48 rifle andfor the semiautomatic rifle M59/66. If someone try to find them...

Newbie here. Why am I getting this message when I try to open an attachment?

The selected attachment does not exist anymore.

Trying to look at the manuals here and some photos that were/are posted on other threads.
Thanks,
Jim

Here is a sort of history and what went on with our forum, how to post photos, and other odd bits...

viewtopic.php?f=79&t=2203

We had a server switch on 4 June 2020 and all photos from the great extinction/rebirth of the forum on ( 3 June 2017) to (4 June 2020) lost most photos that were stored on the old server. With the photo bucket's" pay to post all photos" few used Photobucket to post photos because the free use of photobucket was eliminated. Currently we only have photos posted by secondary sources that remain in the posts prior to 4 June 2020, some are restoring their old post's photos that were on the old server. All server attachments were lost too.

In the great extinction of 3 June 2017 all posts were lost, both the post & their photos from 2006 -2017; but these are saved on the Wayback Archive. However, back then most used free Photobucket and all of those photos are gone unless the poster pays the Photobucket fee for restoration. In contrast only the 2006-2017 server/forum posted photos remain. All photo bucket photos which was the majority of photos, approximately 75% were lost due to the Photobucket Company Policy change. Even the photos on the Wayback archive were lost in the 2006-2017 posts that are archived. Only the forum posted photos survived and are on the Wayback Machine Archive.

Now on the 4 June 2020 server update, all server stored photos were lost while the secondary host photos remain. At this time during 2017, most members posted photos by the server method since it now cost so much to be a Photobucket member. All of these photos posted by the forum method on the old server from the rebirth of 3 June 2017 to 4 June 2020 were lost/they are blank-gone. So you will see most old posts missing photos. Some long time members are slowly attempting to rebuild and restore the missing photos in their posts. Read the history on the lower portion of page 1. in the above link. Posts dating, after June 2020 are intact. Always check the Wayback Archive if a member archived their post, it will remain intact at that location if they saved their post. Unfortunately most do not save the posts.

Most of the old links work from 2 June 2017 to present, however a good number of old reference links are disappearing; as we get old and the author that pays the web fee dies or has less income to maintain the web page. The web page goes down. Hence, if you see some reference you like and value you best make a paper copy.

I checked the Wayback Archive, this post was not saved.
If you want a copy of the attachment M67 posted you might try to PM him and request he reposts the attachment. He is an active member.
Only he can update his post. I just sent a PM to the author, we shall see if it can be restored. This is a great old post that we lost.

Glad to hear that someone read old posts...
72 usmc asked me, to repost photos from my collection. Here you are!
This is a very rare Technical manual (not Field manual) for the Rifles M48, M24/24 and M98/48 from Yugoslav Armed Forces dated 1962. Technical manual were in gray color, field manual wre in red color. Interesting, there is no description for the M98 (long rifle) and for the M24/52. Maybe there were no longer in regular armed forces but still exist in militia forces.
The next red book is catalogue for all small arms in armed forces, even obosolete and stored for emergency or war case scanario...
There is red Field Manual for the M48 beside. You can recognize descriptions and differencies between these rifles. I have lots of red Manuals for the M48 rifle and for the semiautomatic rifle M59/66. If someone try to find them...

Thank You for the effort. I Saved this post on the Wayback archive.
M67 retook the photos so this could be updated.
