I've had this 1903 for a while now but it shows that the ignorance of the seller can mean a deal for the buyer. When I found this rifle a few years ago it was being sold on consignment by a seller who thought that the safety was broken as it would not engage at all. Due to this I bought it for the lofty sum of $350. After I bought it I fidgeted with the bolt for a bit and realized that the bolt hadn't been fully reassembled and after finishing screwing in the back part of the bolt the safety functioned perfectly. It is one of those Greek return rifles that are on the market however it has a fantastic bore and I just started getting bulls eyes out of it so it's very accurate. How much of a deal I actually got from this remains to be seen but I do know that I still love it for what it is, an honest WW2 era 1903 that just happened to see extra service elsewhere before coming home.
