Ya there is a nice 1903a3 Remington thats going for 1700 not sure why sold my last one for $675. Guys havr star gauge barrels and get big money. I have a HS barrel on mine and can hit a 1x1 foot steal target at 400 yards all day long. Has to be as good as a star gauge.

My SC came with a star gauge barrel but the rifle had been sportered and the chamber had been messed with. I had a friend hand load some extra long 30-06 for it but it still would not shoot worth a darn. Had a local smith put a NOS barrel on it and put it into a CMP stock. Now it shoots like a dream. Still wondering why that chamber was so deep..........
