Mempho is a 70s/80s nickname for Memphis, TN. coined by a professional wrestler named Handsome Jimmy Valiant. You'd be surprised how much you still hear it around here.

After I retired for the second time I used to deliver buses into Memphis. I like that city. Used to come through there on my way to and from Kansas when I was stationed at Ft. Benning before I retired in '91.
