Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Schmidt-Rubin 96/11

#1 Post by One too many » Wed Feb 20, 2019 11:51 am

Hi all,
I had a good buying experience on a pre 1899 96/11 from Edelweiss Arms.
Matching numbers with the advertised 5/5 bore condition and 5/5 stock. Came with muzzle cap and period or correct sling. Paid a fairly high price, but did get as advertised , quickly and professionally. No FFL.

Outstanding LONG range shooting rifles. Much better than the K31 hands down.

I see that I posted a Swiss rifle under Swedish. Perhaps my eyes need checking.
Speaking of which, I really need a scope for any shooting over 50 yards. Can anyone suggest a mount that would not damage the rifle? Suggestions for scopes would be appreciated also. It looks like a scout would be needed, like my Mosin.

Swiss Products has a nice clamp-on scope mount that puts a scope above the receiver, offset slightly to the left. I have one on my k11; it works like a champ.
