The extension bmp is not allowed. What do I need to do?

Either convert them to .jpg/.png using a conversion program (or just open them in Paint, then SAVE AS .jpg instead of .bmp) or host them elsewhere, like Photobucket, and link them here.

Yep, you got it. I just upload to Photobucket and let the program do it magic. It's free and works well.
