Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Columbian FN M1930 Mauser carbine in .30-06

#1 Post by AJMBLAZER » Sat Jun 03, 2017 11:43 am

Picked this up a while ago. Pretty uncommon from what I'm finding. Original .30-06 after the Columbians standardized on that caliber in the late 40's. Has all the indications of early 1950's FN production.

Kinda rough but not terrible. Cleaning it up currently.

Got it out of the stock a week ago and currently degreasing/degunking it. She's dirty.

Have also got one. FN made in the 50's, surprisingly hard to find information on these rifles.

The experience of firing these can best be described as.... Violent.

Pics of yours? Mine was dirty as could be with lots of surface rust and pits under the wood. Still slowly cleaning it up. Magazine body and floor plate left to go and then the wood.

Yeah, your exterior is a bit rougher than mine.

Mines not horrible under the wood but it's been a LONG time since she was properly good and clean.
