After I did some "collection cleaning" in 2016 the plan for 2017 was to keep cool and first do some ammo restocking and think of what would be a good addition in the not so near future.......didn't succeed at all, bought a newbie yesterday  : a Portuguese M/937, made in 1941. German Waffenamt stamps all over, good woodwork (no cracks or whatsoever), all matching numbers except for the barrel which was, according to the german proof marks, replaced somewhere in 1971.
I bought it as a shooter and since the price was reasonable (150 euro/160 dollar) and the condition good, I'm actually quite satisfied with it. Testfiring I did yesterday prior to buying it, looked rather good/promising too.

Some pix below. Wanna see more: just ask.

Very nice rifle! J Hanson imported these into the US along with the Portugese Astra 600s. I have one of each he sent me...KEEPERS!

These rifles are not that common in Belgium either. Collectorwise it's a pity it was rebarreled in the seventies but at least they didn't rebarrel it in another caliber or butchered it up while changing the barrel.

Took some more pix, some detailshots (as far as what's possible with my old camera)..
