Made this a few years back, bought a 1908 scrubbed Brazilian action off Gunbroker, got an 09 Carbine
barrel from a fellow SRF subscriber and a stock off of fleabay.

Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.
Faux 1909 Carbine Sniper
Re: Faux 1909 Carbine Sniper
The scope is a Vintage 50's Weaver KV 2-5x32 Variable w/fine crosshairs in Leupold rings & mounts.
Preliminary shooting loosened the rings & mounts (in my excitement forgot to lok-tite) hance the large groups.
I have since managed 1.5" MOA w/AA-2495 and Hornady's 150 SST's , a very consistent load.
My other scoped 7.65x53 is an M24/47 Yugo with an "09" Carbine barrel, that barrel prefers 174 & 180
grn round-nose bullets from Hornady & Speer. H-4895 powers those @ 1" MOA. Love those 7.65's
My original 1909 Argentine Cavalry Carbine is what inspired those Sporters, so I wouldn't ruin it hunting.

Great looking/shooting little carbine. Is that a "rope-wrapped wrist"?? Sounds like a song lyric, or a book title--"The Hardy Boys and the case of the Rope-Wrapped Wrist"--
