Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Brazilian Jungle Carbine

#1 Post by jbs » Mon Jun 05, 2017 11:01 am

In 1932 an order was placed from Sao Paulo to the Czech's for 15,000 light weight VZ-24's in 7mm.
I got 2 of these as ufixem's from century years ago. They were total rust buckets but the stocks were decent and they were all numbers matching. It took some time in an electrolisis tank and work cleaning up the bore but they're pretty good now. What looked like sewer pipes actually have nice rifling although frosty. They both shoot really well.

Nice work, interesting rifle.

I would assume that these were replacements for the FN1922 Carbines they used in the Jungles

If I remember right, the order was placed by the rebels but by the time they arrived, they were done for. Taken by the government and from the looks when I got them, they were stored in a damp cave.
