Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Does anyone have experience with the 1916 Mausers OWS had advertised?

I have no experience with the ones OWS is selling (and I have no experience purchasing from OWS) but . . . I have owned four Spanish m1916s. The one I still own is quite pretty, but the rifling is worn and the bore is oversize. The rifle shoots well with the oversize projos I get from Buffalo Arms, but not well at all with the .284" 139-grain SPs I'd like to be using.

Another m1916 I owned for a while (a GB purchase back in my early days of collecting) was a total beater--but it did shoot bullets in roughly the direction the muzzle was pointed. If I were writing a description of that rifle, and I were a plagiarist, I would simply crib from the copy on the OWS site (except that my beater had a handguard).

For myself, based on their description, I wouldn't buy one of the OWS m1916s without handling it first--unless I was looking for a bargain and another Sisyphean project.

My $0.02. YMMV
