Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Chilean m1912 Steyr

#1 Post by Mwt » Mon Oct 09, 2017 10:16 pm

I restored a Brazilian m1908 back in the summer with a $100 matching action from GunBroker as the basis. This rifle shot like a dream and I fell in love with the 7x57 cartridge.

July vintage match.

So I couldn’t resist adding another 7x57. This one a mismatched Chilean M1912 Steyr from Alan’s Armory. The excellent bore advertisement sucked me in.

I was not disappointed. Local vintage match Saturday-191 x6.

I too am a fan of 7x57 and South American Mausers. I especially like the crests. Nice shooting

I can relate to that.

I have one of each and they are sweet shooters

Your pair of rifles look impressive and your shooting is not bad either

My 1909 Argentine also shoots quite well. Unfortunately the previous owner rechambered it to 7.65x63. It is all matchingImage. Yes these SA long rifles are superb shooters.

Those are beautiful rifles. Looks like they shoot, too!
