they are almost paid off!! then the ten day wait then i get them!! i did pass on a fin m39 for 100 bucks though :(
went back to get it two days later and it was bought.
they thought it was a 91/30 :lol:

Well, you'll be kicking yourself for that till the end.


I still kick myself for not getting an all original '63 Chevy II, engine matched.
That was 5 or 6 years ago I think.
It's probably got a 350 in it now, cut a lowered with silly rims on it.
But to each their own.

Hmm..was in a shop I forget the name down around Santa Anita or something...guy walked in with a great condition Springfield Trapdoor...could have got that for a good deal I'm sure....just didn't act. Another time in Turner's Pasadena and guy walks in looking to put a MINT Polish M44 on consignment...could have got it at a great price...but just balked. Had a Hungarian 91/30 on layaway at a Big 5 that was sold out from under me....ditto a nice Tula 1927 ex-dragoon sold out from under me while on B5 layaway. Those are the first ones that come to mind....

man your big 5's have good stuff. out of all of their mosins at the big 5s near my house, i have only seen two that were not tore to hell or totally mis-matched. lucky for me, those two are both in my safe :D :D

anyone have any idea how much a 1889 swiss straight pull goes for. no mag but has sling. any idea?
