Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

I am not saying I disagree with you BUT I do remember when these rifles first appeared that the caution was with them not to use standard NATO ammo or commercial .308. It was the importer who stated that the CETME rounds were loaded to lower pressure then the standard NATO rounds. That could have been the case till the German made rifles entered into service and the bolt actions were withdrawn from service. I am only stating what we were told when we had these coming into our shops back in the late 70's and early 80's.

Israeli ammo from the 80´s? Might be German … reparations and such.

German 7.62 ammo is rather hot, and features a very thin jacket, to aid partition of the bullet on impact.

If German it will be non corrosive, with Sinoxid primer.
