Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Ok Here is the trick to using ANY Mosin Nagant stripper.

Ya Listening? Hey you in the back wake up! Yea You!

Alright.

With the rim of the rounds properly overlapping, place the stripper in to the charging guide.

Place your thumb on the top round as close the the Stripper clip as you can.

Now Take your second finger. Yes that one. Yup you see it all the time in traffic.

OK you don't have to show me that you know how to do that.

Place it on the tip of the second or third bullet and pull it up and you press down at the back of the top round.

And ZIP they all go in easy as that.

Now You try!

Any Questions?

Good!

Thank u for sharing this tip--I imagine this would also work with Brit Enfield clips.

I saw a Video with a young man doing this. I thought he was applying upward pressure on the tip of the top round, which I then tried with minimal success. This way does sound like better leverage would be realized. Thanks for this info.

years and years ago I bought soviet M-N clips, all had A tiny ISHVESK stamp on the "spine" of the clips. all the rounds went in like butter, without having to do anything but push them in with a thumb. a year or so back I bought some clips to load more rounds. those things were garbage

If someone has a link to this procedure on Youtube it would be great to post it here. I've had mixed luck with several different types of strippers but I may have not been doing it correctly.

Place the loaded striper in the charging slot.
Place your middle finger on the tip of the second round down and your thumb at the base of the top round next to the stripper.
Now push down with your thumb as you lift the second round with your finger.
The rounds will now go into the magazine........ Most of the time.
Yup it hurts your thumb.

Truth is Mosin stripper have never worked well.
They are just there so the Russians could look at Mauser and say "See we have then too".
Aint nothing you cant fix with five gallons of diesel and a match.

I think Burner may have hit this one on the head. I've tried several different ones including what I think we're the good ones and never had great luck. I will try this procedure as you guys describe. It may have been my technique was the problem.

How about gently filing the gap where the clip slides in -- just a few 1000's -- with all my mosins I don't have to grab any rounds -- I just push them in with a thumb --

Then I noticed an empty clip just dropped in -- no problem -- with rounds in it -- not so much -- it measured .52 & 1/2 kinda in here --

But with a full clip --

After a little adjusting -- Now I can push them in with one finger ---
