Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

with Hungarian Mosin's, but this one is with out a doubt the prettiest of them. It's a 1953 Hungarian M52 sniper rifle that looks like it just came off the production line. The stock is perfect, and the bluing would rival modern sporting rifles. The rifle is all numbers matching and the scope, well that is the best part, it is a Hungarian scope, mount, and base. Snipers like this don't come along to often and I am glad I was able to acquire it for my collection.

Thanks everyone, I am sure this one was never issued by the arsenal after its build was completed.

Heck, a matching Hungarian long rifle is a hard find; and a sniper :snooty:     Well, unheard of. And I would venture to say, you are going to tell us its not import marked? Is the cleaning rod also 02 marked. And I bet it has a marked Hungarian Sling??? What dreams are made of

So if I may be bold enough to ask, how did, and where did you find it ? Is there a story about its find. Please do not tell us it was in a pawn shop. More like a very special Rock Island, Amoskeag, or Morphy auction. So good, I have to print out the pictures on a better computer with a nice color printer.
To old to fight and to old to run, a Jar head will just shoot and be done with you.

Super nice condition. Interesting to say the least. I would also like to read more about it.

No elaborate story, no big auction house, bought off of Gunbroker in August of 2016 from a pawn shop in Michigan. It was posted as a Romanian Sniper which should have still attracted attention, but there where only 3 bidders and the other 2 dropped out with an hour to go so it sold rather cheap, probably 1k + below what market should have brought.

And yes 02 maked cleaning rod, 02 sling, and it's not import marked, but neither of my M52's are.
