Anyone ever encounter 1 of these early semi autos in caliber other than 8 MM Mauser, or with a National Crest on it? Supposedly most went to Ethopia and Manchuria, know of 1 in 6.5 Jap, and none with a Crest.

I wish I could help you. This is such a rare weapon in the US and information on the internet is scarce. Rock Island Auctions has one in their next auction that has Ethiopian markings.
