I had a senior moment today and fired a 6.5 Jap round in my Type-99 Arisaka.

Naturally it blew the case up like a balloon. Oddly, the bullet hit the bullseye at 100 yards, going sideways, but with so little force that it didn't break the paper, just left an imprint.

I managed to fire a couple of rounds of 6.5 carcano in my Swedish mauser, before I started having failures. Took a good look at the box of ammo I brought to the range and had an "Uh-Oh" moment.

For us old guys they need to have color coded ammo boxes or something. If it says Jap, it ought to work in any Jap rifle, and if it says 6.5 it ought to work in any 6.5.

Y'all are scaring me!

Always makes you wonder who you're next to at the range

I once shot a full mag of 32 auto out of a Browning 1922 .380. The extractor held the case firmly enough that they all fired. I even knocked down several plates on the plate rack I was aiming at.
