Logo- Oval 11
Year- 1954
Serial number- AB15510
Importer- Gibbs

Notes: There is no serial number on the buttplate. However, the inside of the stock is numbered underneath the rear sight. To my great disappointment it is not matching, but reads 6505...

Thanks Puska. The highest AB # I have listed to date is 17954. The database grows.

Eric

Logo- Oval 11
Year- 1956
Serial number- ZM1889
Importer- William Shooting Supply

Side note it is cool for me to get the gun from Williams Shooting Supply in Quincy, IL since I go to Quincy University in Quincy Il and it's only a mile or so down the road from me. Plus I got it at $170 OTD
Bolt does not match, buttplate does.

I also got the paper from Williams on field stripping and very very short history.

Importer's stamp is incomplete. It's on the left rear of the receiver, and I can read ". . . .BURG WVA". That probably means Gibbs.

After an impatient wait on the importers/Customs since October, my Wz-48 has finally passed the Govt safety tests and been released for sale. Five went on offer, 4 were sold online within 2.5 hrs of posting lol...they are rarely seen in Australia.

Bit longer to wait while the transfer interstate to a local dealer takes place (all direct sales are illegal here), but the specifics of my rifle are as follows:

Circle 'Radom' Factory 11

1954 manufacture

KB01335

Appears to have the 'Diamond' marking on the barrel shank

And another similar one on the buttstock; not easy to tell as yet since I have only seen small photos.

Will edit here as more come to hand :)

Edit for photos

^the very small diamond mark to the right in the above photo has a '1' inside (whatever that means lol)
