BSA War Office Miniature .22 rifle

Years ago I got this at an auction. I was able to identify it as a "BSA War Office Miniature Rifle", but haven't been able to learn much else about it.

May have been used before the Enfield training rifles.

that is very nice.

I like to collect, as well as shoot Combloc weapons. I've had my eye on buying a Polish Wz-48 .22LR Training Rifle, while they are still cheap. it's the only combloc .22 trainer that kinda looks like the full version mosin-nagant rifle.

A W.O. .22 Trainer marked to the Durban Light Infantry and a document from the South African Military Archives mentioning how they were regarded officially by the Union Defence Force. (Paragraph 2)
