Buying an Enfield wasn't the plan but......

#1 Post by Stef242 » Mon Jul 17, 2017 2:01 pm

........I couldn't resist buying this one last week: Lee-Enfield No4 Mk1, made in 1944 by BSA.

Bolt not matching.

Well used but that's part of the charm for me. Took it to the range yesterday: very satisfied with it 8-)

If you are getting a 5 to 10 shot group equivalent to a grapefruit or better, you're well on your way. Nice pick up.

Thanks. Will need some practice with the peep sight, since I'm used to mainly shooting mausers-type sights.

The trick is to set your eye up so that the eye relief just lets the ends of the "ears" almost touch the sides of the aperture (as viewed), then ignore the rear completely. The eyeball "No1 Mk1" will find the center automatically!
I can't be more specific than that because they came in several diameters.
