Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Redfield "no drill" Enfield no4 MK1 rear target sight.

#1 Post by Calfed » Tue Jul 11, 2017 5:48 pm

I was cleaning out a box of old sights that I have acquired through the years and ran across a Redfield "no drill" target sight for a No4 Enfield. Got at an auction years ago in a lot with a bunch of other items. Found it to be an interesting piece that you don't see every day.

Took a few pictures of it next to a PH 5C sight.

Now that is neat! While not "legal" for our milsurp match, I wonder if one of these would improve my scores--used to laugh at
Brit Enfields years ago, then grew to really like them. Can't shoot them worth a damn, tho a guy at our match has a JJovino Lithgow
that shoots MOA--

I love vintage diopter sights and both of those are gorgeous. Maybe not for matches but that ph-5c would look quit good on my no1mk3 trainer 22.in what part of your house is that laying around again?

You just never know about an Enfield. I'm sure the sights would help.

The PH 5C fits a No4 MK1/II. However, Parker Hale also makes that which you seek...a PH 5A, which fits the No1 MK III. Found one of those in the old box of sights, also ;)
