Why would anyone want an Enfield ?

Because with two boxes full of 'bits and pieces' they don't get any prettier than this :

Because they are very beautiful rifles, I have a No4 Mk1...

You know you're right! Lee Enfields are terrible.
Slow, clunky, rubber bolted, rear locking lug wrecks. Firing an obsolete rimmed round, which makes for limited ammunition choices. You're much better off with a Mauser action.
I suggest they all be sent to me for safe & efficient disposal.
*sigh*

Would you believe that I have another one of these ugly sticks coming? I bought it about a year ago and kept forgetting to send FFL info. Hopefully it will be here in a week or two along with a stock set to finish restoring a No4 Mk1.
