I've just read an old forum posting (different forum) where a fellow stated that the K98 extractor would work on the Yugo intermediate length bolts.

Can anyone here confirm or deny this?

Thanks.

Jay

Not without opening the safe and trying a quick experiment. Give me a couple of hours.

I was able to install the extractor from my VZ 24 on the bolt of my Yugo 24/47. I was not, however, then able to close the bolt in the Yugo's action. Based on this scant data set, I would conclude that the extractors are not interchangeable. Certainly not in all cases, anyway.

Note that I don't have at my disposal an actual German- made K98.

You're welcome.

A bigger data set might, of course, yield different results....
