Hey everyone, quick question about the 7mm remington rolling blocks, were they in the 7mm mauser rimless cartridge or were they in the 7x57R rimmed round? I want to be sure before i throw down the money for it since if its rimless brass conversion will be alot simpler than the rimmed counterpart. Im not sure if this in the right area but figured id pick your brains on it. Thanks

The one I had years ago took the rimless cartridge. Yours might be different. Best to make a cast.

They were chambered for the standard 7x57 Mauser cartridge. It has been awhile since I sold mine, but, I recall that the extractor was designed to snap into the groove when chambering a round. Mine was a carbine marked for use in Uruguay. As stated above, yours may have been rechambered.

They will chamber the standard 7x57 mm Mauser as well as the early version of the case. You may get a slightly strange shaped fired case in some of the rifle.
