Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Type 97 sniper rifle

#1 Post by Miller Tyme » Thu Mar 29, 2018 7:50 pm

Kind of stumbled into this one but I am glad I did, all numbers matching and original except for the butt plate and the reproduction Monopod.
Now to find a nice Kokura 2.5x scope for it.

Timing is everything they say , and good timing and a little bit of luck has paid off for me. I found my Kokura scope this past weekend, complete with carrying case, lense brush, lense rag, and original Japanese instruction sheet. Now to get a new rubber eye cup and I am in business.

Did you buy a lottery ticket while you were at it? I've heard of people getting lucky but you hit the jackpot!

Congratulations on such a great find, both a rifle and then scope with case.
Have you ever wondered if some things were just meant to be? I'm happy for you; that's quite a piece to add to your collection.
