Hello, everybody! I recently purchased a very nice, 1919 vintage, M16 Berthier carbine. The only piece missing is the tiny spring that maintains tension on the rear sight elevation slider. Without the spring, the slider moves side to side and will not hold elevation adjustments. If anyone has one, and is willing to part with it, let me know. Thank you!

The friction pad can be replicated, it has a heel at both end and the middle part is thinner and slightky bent to act as a spring.
The slider and scale can provide diemensions for "back-engineering".
