It is really a poor article with many mistakes and shows why he made a bullet for Carcanos that is dangerous in about 50% of them . He does not understand the bore riding bullets of the time , that the Italians used THREE different bore sizes from 1891 to 1941 , that gain twist and regular rifling react different to the bullet . That is why some rifles [ and he did not know why , you are blowing up rifles for a reason ] will shoot the bullet and it over pressures some . The 7.35 was not developed to increase the range over the 6.5mm , simple ballistics with the bullet's BC and velocity show it does not . It was an early " intermediate cartridge developed with the Swiss [ the records of testing are still there ] .
