Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

What's the deal with 6.5 Vetterli Rifles?

#1 Post by Mid. » Sun Oct 15, 2017 8:47 pm

Hey all,
Just curious what the deal is with the 6.5 Vetterlis - I saw one in a local gun store and it piqued my curiosity. Are they generally safe to shoot or do they need to be specifically downloaded or blackpowder loads? Thanks!

I've fired PRVI out of both of mine with no ill effect, except for the usual key holing with one (.267 bore), but a friend reloads for me, don't know the specifics but he said the load is about 10% lower than factory PRVI.

Stuff; Some of it is Italian, some of it shoots.

Generally safe to fire with non-full powered loads.
