Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

2 Carcano's @ Store in Michigan

#1 Post by grazza74 » Wed Jul 12, 2017 2:24 am

2 Carcano were for sale at the Gander Mountain in Lansing Michigan. I think they were priced around $200 then take off 40%. They were marked as 1891 Mausers....but 1 was a Terni. I don't know the Italian arms to judge value/model.

If original, with good loads they can be safe Are they in 6.5 or 7.35 The rifle can produce surprising accuracy

So if that is $120 apiece and they are in decent shape I would jump on them. That's a really good price.

A lot of Gander Mountains have close in my area but, wish I could find deal like this, I'd jump at the chance to buy a Carcano or two. Just don't see them around here.

Unfortunately for those of us who appreciate them, they are becoming more sought after, as almost all the other nice mil-surps have become much more expensive the last few years. Did anyone ever think garden variety round reciever 91/30's would be going for $300+, and an unspeakable caliber M38 would bring $3-450!!??!!
