Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

I picked this rifle up earlier this year at a not so large gun show from a walk in seller who just wanted to get enough cash for a better rifle. We settled on a price of $150 since he was in a hurry to get the cash he needed to make a very quick purchase at another table. It's a Navy Arms import piece but the rifling is in great shape and overall there are no cracks anywhere in the stock so it'll make a great shooter. I know that this year and maker were purpose built to be sent to Turkey but aside from a few small markings on the safety there aren't any other Turk marks that I've been able to find. I also recently came into a better condition Gew98 stock that I might put this one into however since I got that stock for free I might save it until a sportered Gew98 comes around (that's the norm in my area).
You did real good for $150. You got the Grandfather of all 98 Mauser actions. The Mauser brothers got it right in 1898 and their 98 action is still being made today.
Captain Obvious, you have never failed me!
