Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: my K98ks
That's a great collection. Strangely I still don't have a Kar98k, I have an FN-made Israeli, a 98AZ, and a Yugo 24/47, but still no 98k.

Re: my K98ks
Geezus, now that's a great K98 collection! Great rifles.
Re: my K98ks
That's really take a breath away.. There is stuff for one German zug (platoon)! Amazing. I have just one Kar98K.
»You're a disgrace. I'd like to know how you got to be a Captain, anyway. »Yossarian: »You promoted me.« Colonel Cathcart: » That has got nothing to do with it.«
Re: my K98ks
Well almost. I've also got a half dozen G/K 43s, 6 MP 40s, 4 MP 44s, an MG 42 and 3 55mm mortars. Plus a heard of P.38s u. Lugers.
AND one Kubelwagen and 3 motorcycle combis.

We need a family photo of all of that. Sounds like a great collection.

Re: my K98ks
Here are the 3 combis and my Kubel.
The bikes are 2 chicom and a ruskie copy of the pre/wartime BMW R71. Only the ruskie has a driven side car. It is my back
country bike and the only one with lisc plates on it.
Since the one chicom was painted chinese army green when I got it, I left it that way since it is about exactly like the paint on the war time ruskie bikes. Still have to figure out what the lisc plates, if any, looked like and what if any unit markings were on the ruskie bikes.

Re: my K98ks
Quite the collection you have, good looking rifles and bikes. That Kubel is sweet, do you ever drive it? Or did the only 1 with plates include the Kubel?
Re: my K98ks
Colorado has a law that you can run a vehicle with original plates rather than current state registration. You just have to have the state plates in the vehicle. Thus I have proper Luftwaffe plates on the Kubel and also on one of the combis (late style with only a rear plate, couldn't find anyone to make the curved front plate). The combi on the right is a ruskie that has Colo plates on it.
I have a top & side curtains for the Kubel, but rarely use them. This is mostly my good weather driver.
