Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: Israeli Mauser No.2

Hi 72 usmc

Not home yet as I'm still waiting for that "permit to acquire" from our wonderful constabulary.

I may be able to take some more photos this weekend. If able to I will post here

The 1918 plain is suitable for the K31 and the K11

The 1914 Pioneer will also fit both

Refer to the excellent site www.worldbayonets.com for your reference

Re: Israeli K98

It seems nothing is wasted.

3rd line troops issued with obsolete weapons are better than being unarmed. Especially in that part of the world.

Re: Israeli Mauser No.2

Hi 72 usmc I thought it may have been beech but was not sure. That would line up the theory that it has been restocked when it was refurbished and rebarreled along with the Israeli made barrel band. Once I get it home i will take more pics, you are quite welcome to use them. Let me know if you need ...

That one is in nice condition compared to many I've seen. I always wondered if there were any around that missed the conversion to 7.62, and still were in 8mm.
I have seen one recently for sale in 8mm in Oz.

Missed out on that one

Re: Israeli Mauser No.2

The market price in OZ is around $600-$700AUD ($450-$525US) but I paid around half of this. You can understand why i was a little excited. It came as a package deal with 3 other firearms. The rest was sold off to others so it was a good day. This is the link to my other Israeli http://www.surplusrif...

A picture of the forestock.

There is a 7.62 carved into the bottom of the butt as per other examples.

The magazine plate and trigger guard as well as the upper barrel band's serial
numbers do not match. I don't know of the other parts until I get it home.
