Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Greek Mannlicher 1903/14

I recently came across this 1903/14. Its in reasonable condition and since you don't come across these often, I grabbed it. I have not had a chance to pull it apart to look at it in detail. It does not have the Greek Crest but this does not come as a surprise as many of the Greek contract rifles did...

Re: French Lebel

That looks to be in great condition.

Alot of the ones I see at shows if any, are in ordinary condition that come with extortion prices.

Re: Israeli K98

Hi 72 usmc

There are no import marks on the rifle. I believe it would have been imported direct into Australia.
Thank you for sharing information on your Israeli, its a very interesting subject seeing there are so
many variations to get ones head around.

Cheers

Re: Turkish Forestry Carbine

"does anyone know why the turks converted the rifles to this form????" Supposedly so thieves could not make away with the Turkish walnut forest wood. If the thieves did acquire a forest carbine , it was in an odd caliber and was pretty useless to them. There has to me more to it, or why not just ha...

Re: Carcano Test Shoot

I'd try another clip before playing with the follower spring. The clips make a huge difference in the way it feeds. After market clips vary in quality. Don't be disheartened after your first outing. Carcano's benefit from reloading and once you find the right bullet/load combination she will be a go...

I can relate to that.

I have one of each and they are sweet shooters

Your pair of rifles look impressive and your shooting is not bad either

Re: Translation needed

Its exciting to find these little treasures and get them translated.

I found a couple of letters in a butt stock of a 1903/14 steyr which is written in Greek which im getting translated.

Be interesting what they say. Hopefully a name and something about the user of the firearm.
