Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: Webley No. 4

Very nice pistol. I shoot a Number 5 and with my handloads it is a real tack-driver. It is my favorite revolver.

Got another CZ pistol

While at the final day of the 50TH anniversary at a local gun shop I ran into a friend who's brother had passed away recently. We talked about surplus firearms and he said he had many to sell. Four of us drove over to his house and sure enough he had many very fine surplus rifles and pistols that ha...

Re: .32NAA loads for your Makarov

I test fired all the loads listed for accuracy at 25 yards yesterday. All but the Bluedot loads shot very well. I would say offhand, the Unique load had a slight edge over the other loads.I was able to keep ten shots in a 3" circle, and with the Bulgarian sights on the pistol, that's not too bad.

Re: Building a M-114 (or the M-13)

We test fired the rifle today for accuracy at close range,200 yards. The rifle is every bit as accurate as a M-14. Keeping the M-80 ball rounds in the center of the man silhouette target took little effort. I'm hoping the rifle will shoot for him well at 500 and 800 meters.

CZ 70 came home today

50 TH anniversary sale at a local gun shop. Deep discounts on all used pistols and rifles. I was approached by a salesman with a beautiful CZ 70 pistol with problems. It won't go bang. Hammer spring is weak. Read my post of re-springing the CZ 50 pistol. I knew at once what was wrong. I got the pist...

Bought Franz Stock .32 ACP pistol.

There is not a lot of info on these pistols. Other than they are very well made, very accurate and were sought after by some of the SS officers for their carry pistol. To say the pistol is unique would be an understatement. It has a removable breech block/striker and field strips like no other pistol...

Re: Building a M-114 (or the M-13)

My friend has the forend glued on and is matching the wood colors with stain The new recoil spring should be in soon and fitted to the op-rod.
He will test fire the rifle tomorrow to see how well it shoots at distance.

Franz Stock .32 ACP 1922 pistol questions

Do any of you own one of these pistols? Have you shot this pistol and how accurate was it?
The Franz Stock .32 ACP pistol looks to be very well made. The floating breech block is an interesting concept.
There is little info on shooting this pistol on the web.

Re: Building a M-114 (or the M-13)

He and I spent the Labor Day together finishing up his rifle. I turned a bushing for the modified M1 op-rod and a plug for the end of the op-rod that would be pushed by the gas piston. We went to a diff stock that matched the colors of the M14 forend a little better. The M1 op-rod spring guide had t...

.32NAA loads for your Makarov

For those of you who were lucky enough and had the foresight to jump on the band wagon and get one of the group buy Makarov barrels in .32 NAA,this info is for you. The longer Mak barrel really brings this little cartridge to life. You can push a 60 grain bullet darn near 2,000 FPS and a 71 grain ou...

Re: Mauser 1910?? pocket pistol-need advice

Thanks for the info on the magazines, and the links. I do not plan on using the .25 for a CCW, I do more load development than any thing else. With the 3.14" barrel on the 1910 I can safely drive the 50 grain bullet to 1,050 FPS without bulging the case or damaging the frame/slide. The SAAMI specs f...

Re: Hi all

Welcome to SRF.
I run New Mexico Military Surplus Rifle Pistol Shooters,a club where surplus military firearms are shot at moving and stationary targets out as far as 1,000 yards.
Having a range to shoot your rifles has to be fun as well.

Re: RTFI!

"Tumbleweeds" are a brand name. They are shavings from a wood and coiled together. They work very well.
While I have the real thing in my back yard,There are darn near explosive if put to flame.
