That about sets the base for Cincinnati. They are creeping up these days. I've got a couple mismatched M44s I just listed in a local forum for a FTF, with a close to "I don't really want to sell" prices, to feel out the market. PAX

Couple good looking rifles. I lusted after an SVT for years, and I was finally able to barter for one a while ago. M1 Paratrooper has been on the list forever. PAX

That's a nice rifle for your son. A true family heirloom, made back in the day by a craftsman, who once could earn a living building such critters, for working folk who couldn't afford new. PAX

It's not even been a remote consideration for me in the past, as I've always done good on the street, FTF. I've been at it for a few decades, and prefer to handle and inspect each item. BUT, the world wide web has added an impact with a greater base of availability. I haven't acquired an 03, and don...

Well, ended up ordering the S&K mount as a D&T wasn't available. It sure looked shaky but mounted solid. Took about two hours with a Dremel on the synthetic stock to properly mount it. thanks for the recommendation! I have that same set up on my '67 2A1. Mine came pre-Bubbad (this rifle could be br...
Thanks everyone for the kind words. I inherited my Dads collection after he passed. I gave 4 pistols to my sister (Ruger Blackhawk 44 mgnum, S&W 357, Erma 22. cal luger and a charter arms bulldog 44 special. The 2 firearms I have listed in the Great Arms race (Remington 1100 and byf 44 P-38) and th...

What 72 usmc has stated, is echoing throughout many similar forums, where such a question has been raised. Me thinks the anti crowd is gaining national ground, little by little, and here in Kali, cash & carry has been gone since 2014. I've never needed an 03, because I always did good on the street....

I love it. I HAD one quite similar given to me by my uncle in 1960. He and my pops were in the 1st Filipino Regiment. Last year, he told me he liberated it when they came ashore in New Guinea. I cut mine down, when I was a kid. Now I building a Carbine clone out of it. PAX
Yes, yes indeed...I have always thought someone should basically copy that AK-47... tighten things up here and there and give it a little beefier receiver with a cartridge just a little bit stronger and have one heck-of a military gun by just adding maybe 4 ounces at the most. I know, I know, don't...
Russian stuff is generally rugged to begin with. It makes total sense that they beef up the gear, run off dirt. Modern DC-3ish. OG, was your rig half people, half cargo on the same deck? PAX
good point echo...hell with the law when all hell breaks out! There would still be RULE OF LAW, and you'd need to be cautiously courteous, in a savage manner, but mag capacity would be the last thing on my mind. With these types of hypothetical questions, for me there's only one kind of scenario, e...
