Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Very nice, love all the accessories too - most of us can only dream about having one of those.

Re: BUBBA

I have a somewhat similar perspective. Recently I picked up 3 Bubbafized rifles, and built a couple more. A '70 Albanian SKS that the furniture was nicely redone, looked reblued too. Seller said it was "restored" but he got it that way. Looks great. $465 A 1916 Spanish 7mm carbine, light sanding & 5...

That's a unique rig, totally legit, and super Boss.

I'd clone my Franken Farouk into one if I could. But it's not dovetail cut. PAX

Re: Winchester Garand

Thanks All, Great feed back, for the second time. In the last couple years, I've nosed around Garands and asked for some pointers before. The response is always constructive. I've known the owner for a decade, an 01 for 40 years, and is the only reason I'm even considering spending that much bank (t...

Winchester Garand...UPDATE POST#9

Hi Folks, I've been trying not to go down the M1 rabbit hole, because I missed the window of cheapness long ago. I really know very little about the platform, other than I should have at least one specimen. I've come up on an all matching unit (Winny stamped parts), in excellent condition, $1400. It...

Re: My pair of sporters

I would've traded one of my sport job .303s for a 7mm Mauser. I've got a 2A1 7.62X51 in one of those ATIs, an 8X32X50, with 5 round mag & bipod. Good shooter, accurate. PAX

I've got a long rifle in the original 8X50R. It's made very well. I've held on to it just because. PAX

Anybody in the Detroit area? Lead on cheap SKS

Hi Fellas,

I got a lead on a cheap SKS in Romulus, MI if anybody's looking PM me. Was there on business recently and came up on a good deal, but no Kali ship. PAX

I'm on a bunch, mostly mil surp and C&R oriented. There's much to be gleaned from those in the know, with real world experiences, in particular, weapons and ammo failure. This place is friendly. PAX

Re: Questions on my new sporterized 1903

I have a Smith-Corona sport that was so nicely done I thought it was a Griffin & Howe. Lyman hooded front & rear peep, fine line checked walnut stock, burnished turned down knurled bolt, trap door butt plate, metal button on wrist base. I sent some picts to G&H, and their archivist was kind enough t...

Re: Mosin values

That about sets the base for Cincinnati. They are creeping up these days. I've got a couple mismatched M44s I just listed in a local forum for a FTF, with a close to "I don't really want to sell" prices, to feel out the market. PAX

Couple good looking rifles. I lusted after an SVT for years, and I was finally able to barter for one a while ago. M1 Paratrooper has been on the list forever. PAX

That's a nice rifle for your son. A true family heirloom, made back in the day by a craftsman, who once could earn a living building such critters, for working folk who couldn't afford new. PAX
