Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: 1936 S/42 Luger

Thank you! I've wanted one since I was a teenager and finally last year decided it was time to make it happen. The fit and finish quality are outstanding! Reminds me of a K31 where you ask yourself "Why is this a standard service weapon?". Absolutely zero perceptible slide wiggle, and it shoots pre...

Re: Lebel prices

Oh, the Legion is carrying Berthiers in the top picture. I believe the Bertheir was issued outside of France in large numbers while the Lebel stayed home so to say. Best Regards, Mark Yeah, but the photos From March or Die are just not as sexy cool..... Well they are cool, damnit.. But they make me...

Re: Lebel prices

Yeah, I do not know about getting a Kropatcheck to replace the 1886s.. Could not imagine joining the French Foreign Legion and fighting off the Arab armies with Kropatchecks..

Also how can they not be fired.?? Have are they modified.?? Also I assume that there is no ammo for them???? Thanks for letting us...

Re: Lebel prices

I believe that a few years ago, the Lebels were designated as officially "Antique" in France, reducing the restrictions on owning them, and some of the price increase may be due to rifles being sought to "re-patriate" to France. Berthiers were not classed as antiques, though. Most French rifles hav...

Re: Lebel prices

. I just saw an R35 go for $465 https://www.gunbroker.com/item/835295068 Now that is a nice looking rifle. Some can look pretty rugged. I like the R35s alot because they smack of desperation upgrades and pre 1940 fall of France.. I think if you search and wait a bit on Gunbroker you can pick up a p...

Re: Lebel prices

The prices do seem to be on the rise in all the French guns.. Almost amazing to me, I remember when you picked one up "real" collectors looked down on them. I would like to think you can pick one up under 900 if you shake the bushes and watch and wait. Here is one in the 700 range, not to bad https:...

I don't know how to say. The little "cap" was on the paper stripe. Normally red color. You should put this paper "cap" in to the hole behind the last sight. I don't know if this sort of pyrotechnics exist in nowadays.
Paper cap describes it perfectly.. Many Many thanks..
