Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: Bore Diameter Variations

Most Krags are ‘overbore’ to the typical 308 and I was just at a shoot last weekendwhere there were
more than a few Krags present, along w/even more Krag aficionados ...and yet I’ll dammed if I can remember why ...

Re: Your never too old to learn....She made my day.

Awesome story and your experience mimics mine, in that women are better students. Have taught 1,000s of kids & adults to shoot archery over the years and women always takes the trophies for the tightest group and most consistent average. Have also always enjoyed your contributions here and I thank y...

Damn ... one FREE, just for shipping? And who lives better than YOU?

Great story ... and sounds like you deserve having this one to boot, for all the help you’ve given others throughout the years. Nice!

Re: Milsurp collector age

Mid-50s, but more of a shooter, than a collector, though I certainly have a few nice 'collectible' items. Glad to hear some of you YOUNGER gents are into mil-surps! As this weekend, I'll be going to a HUGE black powdah shoot, w/ cannons (primarily US Civil War era) with about 50 to 60 or more shoote...

Thank you for your service! LOVE your comment about the box passing ... but not the contents.

I can't imagine what else you've experienced (besides near death from MRE poisoning), but thanks for sharing that with us!

Movie - Siege of Jadotville

Amazing true story of ~180 Irish troops of a UN "peace" keeping force that finds themselves outnumbered, surrounded and attacked by indingeniuous forces led by mercenaries. As usual, the bad guys are the behind-the-scene politics and politicians. POLITICS - Derived from the Greek words of 'poly' - t...

Yippee ... found a PH 5A aperture sight for my SMLE!

... had to buy it from a New Zealand gunsmith, but even w/ international shipping I paid roughly ~1/2 of what recent ones have sold on eBay for. And as a bonus, it was complete w/ the spring and longer screws needed to attach it. Just need to complete my stock refinishing project so I can finally fi...

Re: My first SMLE, 1945 Lithgow

Just check to make sure there are recoil plates installed in the stock. Remember, forestock comes off before the buttstock.

Looks great! I just picked up a '44 and am still getting cosmoline out of the wood! I checked the headspace using the "spent primer" trick and it's tight.

Re: 'Cuz. 'Merica, yeah!

Good on you! Awesome story and thanks for your efforts. I bet you made a life-long impression (education?) on the son! In a way, I do the same thing when tesching people to shoot pistols, as our 180-yard 'open range' berm is a large sand hill. I'll have them shoot at 4" & 6" square wood blocks place...

Re: BOUGHT IT! new to me No1 MkIII no* with PH-5A, ??

Looks great!

And I'll admit it ... I still covet that 5A rear sight! Haha!

I lost out on one (auction) a month ago, w/ original instructions & box, that went for $262, IIRC. This week one - not as complete w/ info or box - just went for > $450! Whoa ...
