Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Re: A little humor.

My wife was an RN and one of her jokes was how do you tell a urologist? He's the one with the yellow shoes.

A little humor.

Many years ago I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. The doctor who treated me is with a group of physicians who specialize in afflictions involving nether region plumbing, and I can say without too much exaggeration that his skill saved my life. While enough time has passed that reoccurrence is unl...

Re: Solar Eclipse Next Week

We live on the south edge of the Totality path. IIRC they are saying it will be 99.8% for us. So basically, I'm going to go outside at the appropriate time. Problem is that rain is predicted that day, so maybe it's just going to get dark for a few minutes. It's a unique and interesting event, but in...

Re: Back after 60 hours

Rob,

Glad you are okay. We've had a lot of flash flooding here in Missouri. A few nights ago we had 4" in two hours, but I know 1" in the desert is a really serious rain.

Take care.

Re: SR 71 Speed Check.

I hear the fuel tanks bleed fuel on the runway before she takes to the air and all the metal parts grow & expand and it doesn't leak whilst flying. True or an old military wives tale? It's true. There are several documentaries on the Blackbird, and almost all of them mention the leaking fuel. Becau...

Re: SR 71 Speed Check.

The speaker is Brian Shul, and if you have the time there's about an hour video on youtube of him speaking. Very inspirational individual. He said that no matter what the book said the SR-71 would go faster. Much of it is still classified, but once when he was flying a mission over the Middle East, ...

A Kansas state of mind.

I live just a few miles east of the Kansas/Missouri border, which (if you know anything about geography) puts me in Missouri. About 150 years ago there was a shootin' war between the two states along that border, and while that's over there's still a good natured rivalry between the citizens of thos...

SR 71 Speed Check.

This is good for a laugh. If you haven't heard it, enjoy.

Re: .45 Hawken

Should be a pretty decent gun for shooting patched round ball. Unlikely that it will perform well with sabots. If they still make them, get a Lee R.E.A.L. mold for the .45. Those perform well in my .50 CVA Hawken style rifle.

Enjoy!

Bullet trace.

Great bullet trace at 1:10. Seriously long range hit later on.

I believe in the KISS principle. Mil-Mil scope with 1st focal plane. No matter what scope magnification the scope is, it will always yield the correct adjustment.

Re: 1969 manufacturing process for Remington arms

Waaait a minute. I watched a lot of that video and didn't see one CNC machine or robot. Those guns were being made by (OMG) actual human beings using primitive lathes and milling machines! Even the stock checkering was being done by hand. Surely those guns were vastly inferior to the ones being made...
