Well, the board is either fixed, or it's going to run terribly. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. I'm at my technical limit right now.

Thanks for the link, that looks really helpful. I'm hoping to start hand loading in the next 6 months.

I'll put up pics of my finned 1895 M91 in another thread sometime. Lots of markings on that one.

I thought it was 10 late time?

Best Regards,

Mark
10 sounds better to me, especially initially when everyone, long-timers and all, are starting at 0.

Classifieds section?

Will there be a classifieds section? I have a few rifles that I'm looking to sell and I'd like to try selling them here before listing them on Gunbroker.

Re: August 21 eclipse

I'm in central Illinois, but I plan on heading south to see it. I saw a partial when I was in France in 2015, that was interesting, I expect this to be mesmerizing.

Re: 1898 Dragoon

There is something special about the Imperial Mosins, i think that it's their abundance of markings that I find so interesting.

Re: Type 53 Vietnam Bring Back w/ Presentation Plaque

Nice find. The US 9th Infantry was deployed to Vietnam (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/9th_Infantry_Division_(United_States)#Vietnam_War) so that is a definite possibility. The 9th Division AVRN was also in the Mekong Delta. From what I found Dai-Uy is Vietnamese for Captain, as is an O3, either army...

Still one of the best deals in the Mauser world. Now all we need is a range report.

Re: Bring Back package (Papers, rifle shipping box, 2 rifles)

Very nice, I think that you bought a mint 99 with a fantastic traceable history and got a free 38 for that price.

Re: my K98ks

That's a great collection. Strangely I still don't have a Kar98k, I have an FN-made Israeli, a 98AZ, and a Yugo 24/47, but still no 98k.

Re: WWI original Austrian captured 1915 Izhevsk M91

Could someone explain the Austrian link with the T and the W? I'm familiar with the AZF mark often seen on Austrian captures. Well the "T" isn't a known Austrian mark as far as I'm aware. It certainly is the style of font the Austrians used, and not Russian in origin, but I don't believe it's prove...

All of the Turkish pouches I've seen have been brown. It looks German, but the maker's mark seems wrong.

2 mystery Mauser ammo pouches, vintage 8mm ammo

I got these pouches and ammo along with my Persian Model 30 (http://www.surplusrifleforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=120) Does anyone know where these pouches came from? Any ideas on value? Pouch 1, you can make out the Spanish "Talleres" -workshops. http://i652.photobucket.com/albums/uu242/joelfurrer...
